Nanoparticles of Fe and Nd−Fe−B alloy with sizes less than 20 nm have been successfully fabricated by a highenergy ballmilling process in the presence of surfactant and organic carrier liquid. Structural and magnetic property characterization reveals that these nanoparticles consisting of nanosized grains can be used for fabricating anisotropic nanocomposite magnets.

In this present study, tetragonal manganese oxide (Mn 3 O 4) nanoparticle was successfully prepared using Mn(CH 3 COO) 2 ⋅4H 2 O as raw material by the ultrasound‐assisted ball milling at a low temperature. The as‐prepared Mn 3 O 4 was characterized by XRD, SEM and N 2 absorption‐desorption. The research results confirmed that the ball milling product was single phase Mn 3 O 4.

Abstract. In this research, hematite nanoparticles (αFe 2 O 3 NPs) with spherical morphology were synthesized by highenergy ballmilling method for different milling times (40 and 60 h) at dry medium. The synthesized αFe 2 O 3 NPs were characterized by Xray diffraction and fieldemission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) techniques. An average particle size (APS) of αFe 2 O 3 NPs ...

injection synthesis,31 Highenergy ball milling is a type of mechanical grinding of materials. This process can be conducted in a dry (without solvents) or wet (with solvents) fashion. Laboratoryscale ball milling (5−100 mL scale) is a batch process, whereas industrial ball mills can be operated in a continuous mode, thus offering a

Synthesis of Fe–Cu Nanoparticles by Mechanochemical Processing Using a Ball Mill 669 ders for various milling times, analyzed using the EDX in the SEM. The average composition of the powders collected by using a magnet was approximately Fe–%Cu, slightly defi cient in Cu than the nominal composition (Fe– %Cu).
